ProvenancePurchased from Colonial Williamsburg's Margaret Hunter Shop in 1958 by Janie Hurt while the millinery shop was constructing custom made hats in the style of the eighteenth century. The hat passed to Zuelia Ann Hurt who wore it to a garden party in 2016. She then presented it to the Foundation to serve as a representative for the work that was once done in the Margaret Hunter Shop.
