DescriptionPair of silver salvers of circular form, each with an applied rim composed of six beaded sections separated by projecting fleurs-de-lis, set above shaped sides which slope into a flat center. The components of the rim are cast, as are its three claw and ball feet. The center of the bottom is engraved with arms on a shield, suspended from a ribbon, and surrounded by a beaded oval.MarkingsLondon Sterling Hallmarks for 1777, and the maker's mark of "RM" over "RC" in relief, all within a square (Grimwade 2375).
