DescriptionSilver salver of circular form with an applied rim composed of six beaded sections separated by projecting shells, set above shaped sides which slope into a flat center. The components of the rim are cast, as are its three claw and ball feet. The center of the bottom is engraved with arms on a shield, suspended from a ribbon, and surrounded by a pair of sprigs and a beaded oval.
MarkingsLondon silver hallmarks for 1776, plus the maker's mark of "R•R" in relief within a pair of conjoined circles (Grimwade 2421).
