DescriptionRectangular trunk with hinged arched-top lid; Made of deal covered with leather and set with brass studs outlinding lid, front, and ends. Small brass handle on top; Iron hasp and lock with brass cover for keyhole. Interior lined with printer's sheets of "History of England" overprinted with black dots. Printed paper label inside lid.MarkingsInside lid is printed label: "J.H. Above text is a dome-lid trunk within a circle flanked by a stone castle gate on the left and ship on the right surrounded by a neoclassical swagged bellflower garland.
