DescriptionTeapot: short circular footring supports globular body with short neck topped by removable slightly domed lid with short bezel and inverted teardrop knop and vent hole; plain loop handle opposite the slightly curved plain spout with six-hole grate arranged in a diamond shape; the body decorated in overglaze “famille rose” or opaque-style enamels of pink, green, orange, and blue with a chinoiserie motif depicting leafy chrysanthemum blossoms and an exotic bird perched on a prunus-type branch; the cover decorated with a similar floral pattern painted in pink and green.
