Later tubular silver socket on one side, oriented horizontally to bowl, with long turned wooden handle (handle also later).MarkingsMarked in relief in center of blow: 1) leopard's head crowned; 2) Gothic date letter, pierced through and now illegible [possibly "C" for 1758-59 or "L" for 1766-67]; 3) lion passant; and 4) script initial sponsor's mark, pierced through and now illegible.
