DescriptionSilver punch or lemon strainer: Shallow circular bowl with narrow flared rim; one small conventionally shaped open-scrolled handle affixed to rim opposite one small suspension hook with notched and shaped exterior face. Outside of bowl with two engraved lines below rim; interior of bowl covered with stylized floral pattern composed of uniform circular piercings. Center of bowl pieced with one slightly larger circle.Label TextThis single-handled punch strainer is struck with both the block and the script initial marks used by Thomas Hammersley of New York.
InscribedEngraved on one side of top of handle with "H / TC*E: in threaded block letters (note that TC is conjoined).
MarkingsMarked in relief on top of handle "T·H" in block letters in rectangle. Marked twice on back of bowl "TH" in script in rounded rectangle.
