DescriptionShallow rectangular sheet iron box of cyma profile, japanned in red and brown tortoiseshell with gilt bands of interlocking circles; interior, black flecked with gold. Cover with paneled gilt borders of trellis and scroll patterns set with an enamel plaque depicting a harbor scene of men at work on beached ship with castle in background in yellow, brown, green, rose and blue on white ground within a paneled rose and gilt border, the underside white painted with blossom.
