DescriptionRectangular sheet iron box of cyma profile , japanned in red and brown tortoiseshell wit gilt bands of interlocking circles; interior black flecked with gold. Cover with paneled gilt borders of trellis and scroll patterns set with an enamel plaque depicting a harbor scene with ships and a castle in brown, green, yellow, rose, blue on white ground within a paneled rose an dgilt border. The underside painted with flower stalk. Gilt and rococo mounts. The scene is similar to, but not identical to 1955-69,4A&B.ProvenanceEx collection: Senatore Maguire of Dublin.
