DescriptionSmall jar of long globular form with everted lip and small spreading base. White tin glaze decorated in blue with standard angel cartouche. Inscribed "P ALOES ROSAT." Base glazed.Label TextMiniature drug jars were intended to hold either pills, indicated by a P in the inscription, or lozenges (trochisi), indicated by a T. The inscription here probably refers to Pilulae Aloe Rosatum, a rose petal purgative in pill form.
