DescriptionLow post bed: short head posts, cylindrical above rails and surmounted by flattened ball finials; posts "square" in section adjoining rails and terminating below in short cabriole legs with large ball and claw feet; footposts identical to headposts but slightly shorter above rails; slightly bowed headboard with small scroll cutouts at either end of top; all 4 rails rectangular in section and molded on lower outside edge and both top edges; each rail rabbeted in section and molded on lower outside edge and both top edges; each rail rabbeted on inside edge of top; evenly spaced wooden rope pegs are attached to rabbeted edge.
