DescriptionCoarse plain-woven cotton textile blockprinted in madder reds and browns on off-white ground. Two different vertical floral stripes alternate with stripes composed of diamond lozenges. The selvages are folded under at both sides with remnants of seam stitching still in place. Raw edges are at top and bottom.Label TextIn this textile document the blocks used to create the design were not registered accurately, producing an interruption that is most clearly visible in the lozenge stripes.
