DescriptionUtility table; rectangular top made of two wide boards; straight skirt on all sides; four identical legs, each squared at top where joined to shirt by wooden pegs; below this section, legs are cylindrical, then taper inward to squared section above a cylindrical foot; cylindrical stretchers on two opposite sides, each squared where pinned to a leg and in center for the securing of a medial stretcher rectangular in cross section; traces of original red stain beneath nineteenth century brown paint in places on acquisition.ProvenanceAccording to source, history of ownership in the Webster famly near Louisburg, NC.
