DescriptionAppearance: Bow-back Windsor armchair. Bowed top with semi-circular back rail with scrolled and knuckled arm terminals; seven spindles extending from top of bow to seat; four additional spindles support arm rails at ends, adjacent to vase and ring-turned arm supports. Shaped saddle seat; four canted vase and ring-turned legs ending in swell-taper feet. Plain rolling pin side stretchers; medial stretcher similar, but with two vasiform shapes flanking central bulge.Woods: Tulip poplar seat with maple arm posts, stretchers, legs, and arms, and probably ash bow and spindles.
