DescriptionRound pot with slightly rounded sides and everted rim with flattened lip. Originally white tin glaze; as a result of use or excavation, now crazed and tan in color.Label TextAlthough apothecaries used pure undecorated utility wares, a pot such as this would have been equally useful in a domestic context. Its shape is not unlike that of the char pots (see CWF accession 1953-93) made almost a hundred years later.
