DescriptionRectangular white enamel tea canister painted with hovering insects and posies of delicately coloring flowers, including moss roses, peonies, lilies, and irises. Detachable top with reeded gilt metal mounts.
Label TextGold-colored flecks within the glass matrix that enliven this casket imitate the appearance of aventurine quartz. The two tea canisters and the sugar box are also impersonators: their simple metal mounts reveal that they are made of enamel.
