DescriptionRectangular white enamel sugar box painted with hovering insects and posies of delicately coloring flowers, including moss roses, peonies, lilies, and irises. Hinged lid with gilt metal mounts.Label TextGold-colored flecks within the glass matrix that enliven this casket imitate the appearance of aventurine quartz. The two tea canisters and the sugar box are also impersonators: their simple metal mounts reveal that they are made of enamel.
