DescriptionSquare tile with canted sides. White tin glaze decorated with a powdered manganese ground interrupted by a single inward pointing carnation at each corner; the center decorated in blue with a European landscape depicting a cowherd and a bull in the foreground and buildings, a rocky hill, and a tree in the background, all within a octagonal reserve.
Label TextThis border design appears on a series of London-made tiles. Two tiles in the CWF collection with similar reserves have blue and green powder ground, respectively (see accessions 1989-160 and 1984-243).
