DescriptionSpindle-back armchair: cylindrical rear posts with series of ring turnings just below arms, posts terminate in flattened ball finials; back composed of baluster and ring-turned cross member at top, below which are two cylindrical, ring and baluster-turned members joined by three baluster and ring-turned vertical spindles; pair of cylindrical arms mortised into cylindrical front posts; posts have series of ring turnings above and below seat, and terminate in flattened ball tops; square, rush seat; baluster-turned front stretcher; cylindrical side and rear stretchers (two at sides, one at rear); all posts terminate in disc feet.
