DescriptionMiniature ladder-back armchair; cylindrical rear posts with short tapered feet, topped with egg and cup shaped finials with two central incised lines and extra knob on top of egg; three arched and bowed horizontal splats; square rush seat; tapering baluster-shaped turned arms with central incised line that terminate in barrel-shaped ends which extend slightly over the turned arm supports; upper half of front posts baluster turned with central flattened ball and two incised lines around middle, lower half cylindrical in section and terminating in short tapered feet; single cylindrical stretcher at rear and each side; single front stretcher with barrel shaped turning in center with double incised lines on either end.ProvenancePurchased by donor from Israel Sack, Inc. in 1971
