The design consists of alternating stripes of light blue satin edged in blue tobine with wide and narrow cream (linen) stripes in a plain weave. The narrow cream stripes bear a vine with either buds or berries. Three sides are cut edges left raw; the left side is a selvedge.Label TextThis fabric is an example of how 20th-century decorators interpreted historic styles: while it appears to be late 18th- or early-19th century, it uses different techniques to create the same look.
