DescriptionAppearance: Turned side chair with inverted-arch crest rail and banister back; four molded banisters; stiles with columnar, urn and ball decoration; plain banister rail; front legs decorated with two ball turnings; topped with a small bead, and terminating with ball feet; front stretchers with sausage turnings; side and rear stretchers plain; rush seat recently painted.Construction: Maples stiles and banisters, hickory stretchers; all joints use round tenons and mortises with exception of banisters, crest and banister rail joints which use squared joints; crest rail pinned to stiles, pins reset and filled; banisters tenoned into crest and banister rail; two stretchers on each side and front, one positioned low at rear.
