DescriptionLarge bowl with cylindrical footring and everted rim. Along the rim is a band with four underglaze blue sections with gilt diapering alternating with four sections with red partial chrysanthemums and red leaves. On the inside of the bowl are four red partial chrysanthemums attached to the blue parts of the band. Along the sides (inside) of the bowl are green vines with blue, red and gold flowers and small bushes with the same colors. Around the bottom is a band like the one on the rim with the four partial chrysanthemums attached. In the center of this is a red and green flower. On the outside of the bowl are some chrysanthemum floral sprays in red, gold, blue and green. This is the "Kempthorne" pattern.ProvenanceMrs. Own L. Coon Collection - Numbers #265.
