DescriptionTwo block and turned headposts with vase form finials and 'biscuit' feet; two block and turned footposts with 'biscuit' feet and no finials; shaped headboard with two elliptical arches centering a small semi-circular arch; all four rails have full bead on top outer edge, half bead on bottom outer edge, and tenons at each end for mortises in posts; head and foot rails notched at both ends to receive tongues on each end of the side rails; rails drilled horizontally for ropes.

ProvenancePurchased by donor in 1975 from Brimfield Antiques, Brimfield, Massachussetts, who had in turn purchased the bed from John Walton, Jewett City, Connecticut in 1974.
