DescriptionMiniature William and Mary style turned oak low gateleg table. The oval top with two dropleaves, above ring and baluster turned legs joined by stretchers ending in button feet ; gates of same form as legs.Label TextThis miniature table was possibly use in the Morning Room at Bassett Hall prior to 1949. The label on the underside by an English furniture firm that was first founded in 1870 and lasted into the 20th century conbined with the table's condition indicates that it was likely made in the first half of the 20th century. The Rockefellers had small gateleg tables in the Morning Room by 1949 that were period antiques, perhaps replacing this revival piece.
