DescriptionBone china plate with polychrome enamel decoration and gilding in a floral pattern. All-over floral design composed of orange, purple, pink and blue flowers with large amounts of gilded highlights and a blue circle in the center of the plate with stylized floral gilded design. Blue and orange are under-glaze and the darker lapis lazuli blue is over-glaze as are all the other colors. There is a band of gilding around the rim.MarkingsMarked on the reverse with a hand-painted mark in over-glazed red enamel: a crown above crossed-baton mark over the initial "D". This version of the Derby mark was executed in red enamel between 1800 and 1825. Next to the manufacturer’s mark is the number 39, likely a decorator’s mark.
