DescriptionFeldspathic stoneware jug or pitcher with bulbous body and straight-sided tall neck rising from the shoulder and incorporating an applied pouring lip, the neck and top of the molded handle coated in blue slip on the exterior. The bottom portion of the jug turned on the lathe to create sixty-four vertical ridges. Above the ridges are a series of sprig applied scenes which illustrate a hunting scene typically referred to as "the kill."ProvenancePreviously owned by Colin Wyman Blakesley, Towcester, Northamptonshire, UK
