DescriptionPlate: circular plate with inset foot ring; the broad everted rim painted with a pink diaper or scale border within wavy iron red band and a pink shell-edge inner border evenly interrupted by four red and gilt leafy scrolls; the cavetto with concentric bands of iron red and inward pointing red and gilt spearhead border; the well painted in purple, pink, red, and green with a large with a large central flower cluster with an iron red bow, surrounded by six smaller flower clusters.ProvenanceDescended in the Tucker families of New York and Bermuda. Passed down to Catharine Fitch Tucker [February 28, 1879-August 22, 1970] of Paget, Bermuda, who gifted the piece to her nephew, Edward Bolton (Teddy) Tucker, MBE [May 8, 1929-June 9, 2014]; it then descended to his daughter Wendy Susan Tucker who subsequently gifted it to the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation in 2024.
