DescriptionRectangular mattress tick made of heavy unbleached tow linen woven in plain or tabby weave. Constructed from two lengths of linen, each about 40 1/2" wide, one folded crosswise and the other folded lengthwise, seamed together with back stitches to make bag for straw filling (some small remnants of straw remain). Seam allowances less than 1/4". Thread count about 31 X 31 warps and wefts per inch.1750-1830
