DescriptionCylindrical mug with slightly indented base, loop handle pinched at lower terminal, and long, narrow, slightly curving spout attached at base. Bluish tin glaze decorated in blue with floral sprays.Label TextThis spouted cup was intended for feeding an invalid or a baby. An otherwise identical example in the Warren Collection has a straighter spout, and the top opening nearest the spout is covered to prevent spilling if tipped too much. Other recorded examples also have the partly covered top opening. A bowl shaped container with the partly covered top opening and a spout illustrated in the Leeds catalog of 1814 is referred to as a "sick pot."
