DescriptionStomacher of ivory silk taffeta decorated with linen bobbin lace, garlands of silk ribbon flowers, silk fly-fringe foliage (in shades of pink, mauve, gold, rust, ivory and green), bows of 1 1/4" width bobbin lace; narrow scalloped bobbin lace edges the made-up piece (see note on condition); 5 old wrapped-head pins removed in 1969 and stored in object folder.

Construction History:
1. Initial Construction 1750-1775
2. Trim may have been altered- dates unknown
3. Pins removed by Mrs. Brown October 5 1969, and bits of decoration such as flowers and bows. Stomacher dry-cleaned with ORB by M. Lanier same day.
