DescriptionWhite drawstring pocketbook or work bag of ivory silk taffeta, decorated front and back with asymmetrical, naturalistic floral design of roses, pansies, and other flowers. Decoration is worked in colored silks (pink, rose, red, shaded greens, blues, purple, gold); sequins; and metallic purl, on sequin-powdered field. The decoration is enclosed in a framework of intertwined stems. Lined with ivory thin silk and trimmed all round with 1"-wide multicolored fringe. Ivory taffeta ribbon drawtrings.ProvenanceAccording to the vendor, came from the Goldschmidt collection.
