DescriptionWaistcoat of cream-white silk taffeta with weft-rib (also called grosgrain). Professionally embroidered with multicolored (pink, rose, shaded blues, yellow, gold, and greens) silk floss in a design of bouquets of roses, smaller flowers and ferns, and using applied cream lace to form the trim on front of coat and waistcoat, on pocket flaps, cuffs, back of coat, and knee bands; waistcoat fronts embroidered all over scattered small flowers. Straight and buttoned to below waist, short, sharp cut-away below; shaped pocket flaps placed low; stand-up collar; plain silk back, shaped and vented at center and sides.Construction History:

2. January 1958: Cleaning, checking, restoring by Ernest LoNano. Ripped lining out of vest, washed, pressed and relined, restored buttonholes, with new facing down front of each side.
