DescriptionBoy's coat of salmon pink silk diaper-patterned with beige and yellow; lined with tabby silk. Small standing collar, front closure with three hooks and eyes; old buttonholes from previous garment sewn shut but still evident in front. Tight sleeves, curving over elbows, ending in 3 3/4" cuffs. Rectangular pocket flaps with suggestion of scalloped points, cover functional pockets. Skirts have pleats in sides. Center back vent in skirt. Lined with cream silk and tabby linen. Chest padded with cotton batting. Innerfacings of linen tabby and cotton twill. Seamed horizontally at waist. horizontally at waist.MarkingsHand written in ink on back lining: "Mr. Webster (or Websten)".
