DescriptionThis is a rectangular blanket of natural off-white handspun wool woven in plain weave and finished with a napped surface. The blanket is marked E S L / N*H / 3 in blue linen eyelet stitches. The blanket is woven in two panels butted and stitched down the center. Narrow hems finish the top and bottom and selvages form the side finish.Label TextThis warm wool blanket is distinguished by having the family initials and a number 3 embroidered near the top to identify the owners and the number of the blanket for inventory purposes. The vendor states that the blanket survived with several others from an unidentified New England family.
