DescriptionMedium-deep dish with foot ring. Lead glaze on the back; white tin glaze on the front decorated in turquoise, orange-brown, and deep blue with oak-leaf pattern. Blue-dash rim with an inner yellow band.Label TextDishes from the second half of the seventeenth century decorated with, among other things, leaves are referred to as oak-leaf chargers. They were made in both London and Bristol. Early versions incorporated the leaves as a subordinate rather than the main element.
