DescriptionSquare tile. Blue tin glaze decorated in blue with a European landscape: a man carrying a large sack on his back, a tree, and a church within two concentric bands; trellis diaper corners
Label TextA series of tiles showing people, mostly men, with various packs on their backs have the same trellis diaper border. Some are of better quality than this, but on others the borders are quite sloppy. The roundel with diaper corners appears only on late London tiles, and the inky blue color and the absence of pinholes are also characteristic of later tiles.
