DescriptionSquare tile. Bluish tin glaze decorated in manganese with a European house surrounded by rocks, a fence, and trees; studded border and Michaelmas daisy corners.Label TextSeveral tiles that have the same corners, borders, and style of painting, but which show different buildings, are probably from the same series. Compared to a Liverpool tile with the same border and corners but decorated in blue (CWF accession 1989-169), this Bristol made tile is slightly larger, has a flat back, and is well cut. Some in this series have pinholes in the back.
