DescriptionLadderback side chair. Three crudely shaped slats tenoned between stiles; cylindrical stiles and legs. Stiles taper at top to form cone with flattened ball finial. Double front and side cylindrical stretchers, one rear strecher. Woven splint seat.ProvenancePurchased by Dr. Goodwin in Richmond, in 1927 from Mrs. Maude Pollard Hull, a Richmond dealer. Chair purchased for Wythe House, from Wythe House restoration fund.
