DescriptionChild's cap of white linen, embroidered with cotton in a satin stitch floral and eyelet pattern, with insertions of bobbin net. No lining.ProvenanceFamily tradition states that this cap and another cap #1950-4,2 were used by John Baylor, who married Frances Courtenay Norton in 1778. The late date of both caps suggests that they were worn by a later family member.
