DescriptionTwo broad yellow taffeta stripes with repeating pattern of pagoda, summerhouse, and flowering tree brocaded (rose, blue, brown, emerald-green) on rocky landscape (metallic-silver); encloded by groups of (red/gold/ivory) cannele stripes alternating with silver brocaded undulating vine bearing small blossoms (apricot, blue, green) on peach taffeta ground.ProvenanceOne of a large collection of 'decorator samples' from the firm of MORANT & COMPANY, 91 New Bond Street, London. The firm later known as LENYGON & MORANT was transferred to New York about 1930.
