DescriptionSpoon tray of approximately hexagonal form with fluted sides and unusual integral foot ring. Of white body with blue-gray glaze with scattered cobalt blue marks to underside and outside of tray. With blue scale ground and two large reserves, one central medium reserve, and two smaller vasiform reserves, all decorated as cartouches and with gilt scroll borders. The central reserve decorated with a moth in magenta, rust, yellow and another smaller bug. The two larger reserves flanking, each with a single large bird in magenta, yellow, and navy and rust wings with dark spots to the body and wings. One bird looking over shoulder before sparse foliage. The other looking forward, standing on one leg, before a comparably sparse garden scene. The two vasiform reserves perpendicular to the larger reserves, each with an insect in magenta, rust, and yellow. The four smallest reserves at the "points" of the tray, each with another, smaller insect, in comparable colors and pose to the others.Inscribedno
