DescriptionThis is a small white cord-quilted cover or quilt. The corded design consists of a central angular medallion surrounded by densely scrolling flowers and leaves. A five-inch wide border on all four sides encloses additional scrolling flowers and leaves. The border is broken at the inner corners by abstracted baskets of flowers angling out from each of four corners. The edges are finished with narrow tape. The quilt is constructed of white plain-woven cotton on front and back, quilted with linen running stitches at 20 per inch, and solidly corded with white cotton.Label TextThis small quilt may have been used as a foot cover for use on a day bed. The quilting is worked so skillfully that it is difficult to determine the front from the back.
