DescriptionInfant child's cap (matching gown 1991-551,1) of yellow silk satin, heavily trimmed with linen bobbin lace, silver metallic tape, and paper flowers, lined with plain-woven green silk. Cap is cut in two pieces, a front shaped and curved band going over the top of the head from ear to ear and an arched back piece. Cap back is gathered at neckline with patterned checkered yellow ribbons in a casing; second set of ribbons ties are sewn to curved ears to tie cap under chin.
