DescriptionMan's suit coat made of silk woven in a small-scale pattern of yellow flowers on blue ground within diamond lozenges of cream color. Coat has small standing collar, buttoned down curved fronts with twelve covered buttons. All buttonholes are functional and cut open. The sleeves curve over the elbows, ending in cuffs trimmed with three buttons each. Shaped pocket flaps have two functional buttonholes and a third false buttonhole, with three buttons each. Coat back has center vent flanked by six buttonholes and deep pleats trimmed with covered buttons. Relined with modern silk.Construction History:

2. June 13, 1955: Relined with taffeta, restoring (or relining? unclear in document) flaps on pockets and recovering ten buttons. Work by Ernest LoNano.
