DescriptionWoman's white cotton bonnet having a deep curving brim stiffened with cord quilting radiating from front to back between bands consisting of rows of cord quilting. The brim is sewn to a 2 1/4"-wide band encircling the head. Gathered to the band are a neck ruffle and high, full crown. A center-back inset of heavy cord quilting forms an inverted teardrop shape. The bonnet is hand sewn. Ties fasten it closed around the neck.
