DescriptionChild's bonnet fashioned from white cotton. Bonnet has eared 4-inch brim shaped with rows of cording. The full back crown is gathered to the brim, and a long "apron" is gathered over neck. The bonnet fastens with self-fabric ties. Unlined.ProvenanceDescended from the Fisk, Storer, Gookin, or Green families, from New England and the middle Atlantic states. The donor received the items from a friend of her mother. The family papers are in the Newberry Library archive in Chicago, Illinois.
