DescriptionArmchair with cresting rail straight on bottom, boldly, but crudely scalloped on top; straight, rectangular stiles; open splat pierced with gothic motifs, mortised into plain shoe; square, plain seat frame; slightly serpintine, shaped arms, terminating in flat, scrolled grips; arms supported by plain rests in tentative C-scroll form; four plain legs, square in cross section, chamfered on inner edges; legs braced by four, rectangular stretchers (front, side, and rear).Woods: Primary: Black walnut. Secondary: Southern yellow pine slip seat frame.
