DescriptionMan's sleeveless waistcoat made of cream-color wool cloth, embroidered in silk chain stitches in a vertical striped design in 3 greens, brown, and pink. Stripes alternate scattered small dot fillings with squared zig-zags. Waistcoat is cut straight across slightly below waist level, with double-breasted front closure and high, welted pockets. Small self-fabric covered buttons. Curved standing collar is cut in one with the fronts. The wool textile is woven in plain weave, fulled, napped, and shorn to give a smooth surface.
