DescriptionThis Chinese export porcelain ogee-shaped cup with handle and dished saucer are decorated in deep yellow-, yellow-, and copper gold. The molded handle on the cup bears a gilt thumbrest. The front of the cup and saucer center feature a swag-draped shield. Within the shield appears the three letter monogram "REP". The exterior of the cup just below the rim and the cavetto of the saucer are further ornamented with bellflower chain borders. The interior rim of the cup and saucer bear additional lines of gilding and a repeating scroll band.A 1 1/2" hairline from rim of saucer, very slight wear. Fine condition.
